In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session | Welcome Baby Hannah
I personally have had two different types of newborn sessions - a studio newborn session when my oldest was born and then an in-home lifestyle newborn session when my youngest was born. I also has two radically different pregnancies, labors and deliveries, but regardless, my documenting of the season we were in was also vastly different and I can tell you that without a doubt, I loved my in-home newborn session soooo much more. I got to get myself ready while my photographer photographed my baby. My five year old was easily distracted and able to do whatever he wanted without fear of him climbing on or destroying expensive equipment. And the best part of it all, I was able to go and nap right after our session was completed.
Don’t get me wrong, I love love my studio newborn images BUT the in-home lifestyle newborn session just fit our lives sooo much better with adding in a second child (heck, even first child, but I’m slightly biased now).
The Shaffer Family welcomed their sweet girl, Hannah eariler this year. I photographed big brother Elijah shortly after he was born and then again for his first birthday (btw this is literally one of my favorite things about this career, getting the opportunity to follow my families through their big life events and watching their babies grow!). Jessica reached out to me in her second trimester to book her session long before Hannah arrived. Jessica and I kept in touch during her pregnancy, we planned outfits and she even wore a dress from my client closet. I got to meet Hannah about a week after she made her grande entrance into the world and it was the perfect way to kick off another year of photographing families in SWFL.
